Steamed Rice
1 1/2 cups of rice
1 1/2 cups of water

Rinse the rice until the water runs clear and not milky. Put rice in a pan and either shake the pot or level it out with you hands. Add water and boil, uncovered over medium heat until you see bubble gently forming around edges. Cover, turn the heat down to low, and let the rice simmer for 20-22 minutes, until the grains are soft. Turn the heat off. Leave the pot on the burner and let the rice sit, covered, for another 10 minutes.
